Craft your own whiskey with this kit that includes everything you need (minus the alcohol), including three kinds of wood chips and six botanicals.

DIY can also stand for Drink It Yourself, right? Well, it does now, thanks to this whiskey-making kit from Vincent and Leon Horst. It has everything you need to craft batches of the richly flavored, amber liquor—save for the alcohol.

To start, supply your own vodka (when it’s made from grains, it’s essentially the same as unaged whiskey), then use the included recipe guide to mix your own custom blend of infusion ingredients.
Choose from three types of wood chips to impart flavor and color, as well as six different botanicals: orange peel, chai mix, cinnamon, cocoa beans, coffee beans, and bird’s-eye chili.
Pour it into the provided glass bottles, and three to four weeks later, you’ll have some delicious drinks on your hands.
Serve over the stainless steel whiskey stones (also included) and enjoy the fruits…er, hooch of your labor.
